stranger at home

Stefanel jeans jacket / Nanning shirt / H&M cycle shorts / Diesel bag / Sneakers from Beijing

Yesterday’s promenade transgressing districts with Leonie, avoiding mainstream streets (we’re so hipster, mate) and exploring concept stores. Conversations with this girl can only be described as ‘hearty’. It was also the first time i spoke german in like four months; don’t mind me while I dust of my rusty tongue. Speaking of german you simply must watch this video of Elliot from Scrubs speaking german. a friend posted it on facebook and i can’t stop giggling ahaha.

saturday night: modetalking

yesterday’s nighttime adventures with sabinna and david: after a late ‘picnic’ at rathausplatz, we arrived all bubbly and happy at the modetalking event, hosted by peng! magazine. the night was a swirl of mango-y wine, sequins, befriending strangers, and obviously taking a bit too many pictures. man, if you think this post is long you should have seen the uncutdown version. but yeah, definitely a fun night. now i’m going off for a big burger dinner with some friends. i still have loads of beijing photos left to post, so there might be bit of a culture clash/confuzzlement on this blog for the next week or so.

798 Beijing Art District

Last week at 798, a vast creative compound situated around the outer rings of Beijing. For my readers in Vienna: think MuseumsQuartier but just two hundred times bigger with over two dozen exhibitions and numerous sectors, including photography, life-size and traditional painting. The area is scattered with cute little European cafes and pizza restaurants, and there’s an adorable mini hot dog store full of typical old-Beijing yoghurt, where I pigged out a bit too much.
